How PetShare Works

호주에서 안전하게 반려동물 맡기는 방법

11. Find hosts near you

Search by suburb or postcode (for example Epping or 2121), then filter by pet type, size and long stays. Turn on the Korean-speaking filter to see only hosts who speak Korean.

22. Check the host profile

Look for Identity Verified, the Quality Pledge, vaccination status of the pets already in the home, reviews, spoken languages and an up-to-date availability calendar.

33. Add your pet profile

Enter your pet's weight in kg — the nightly tier is calculated automatically — then record vaccination dates (C3/C5/C7 or F3/F4) and upload the certificate. Aggression must always be declared.

44. Message, then request a stay

Pick available dates on the calendar, message the host first about routines, medication and sleeping arrangements, then send the request. Payment is authorised securely through Stripe and the host can accept or decline.

55. Prepare for check-in

Pack food and medication, a bed or blanket, toys, emergency contacts, vet consent and the microchip number. Run through the checklist the host shares so nothing is missed.

66. Updates during the stay, then settlement

You receive photos and care updates in the same chat; after the stay the host is paid their net amount after commission, and you leave a review.

Fixed nightly rates by size

Your pet's weight in the profile sets the tier automatically — hosts cannot change it.

Finding Korean-Speaking Hosts & Booking Tips

한국어 소통 가능 호스트 찾기 및 예약 팁

Four steps to a Korean-speaking host

1Switch the language to Korean

Choose 🇰🇷 KO in the 🇦🇺 EN / 🇰🇷 KO switcher at the top of the screen — the menu, search, checkout and messages all switch to Korean straight away.

2Search Korean-speaking hosts only

Turn on the “Korean-Speaking Host Only” checkbox on the search page to see only hosts who speak Korean. The button below opens search with that filter already applied.

3Confirm with the badge

Host cards and profiles show a “🇰🇷 한국어 소통 가능” badge, and the profile's spoken-languages row lists Korean as well.

4Use translation in chat

Tap Translate / 번역 next to any message to show the translation under the original, or tick the auto-translate box at the top of the chat to translate incoming messages automatically.

Booking tips

  • Make the first message specific

Lead with feeding times, walks, medication, where your pet sleeps and whether other animals are in the picture — it makes the host's decision easy.

  • Check vaccination together

Make sure your pet's vaccinations are inside the 12-month window, and ask the host about the vaccination badges and certificates for the animals already in the home.

  • Long stays get cheaper from 14 nights

Book 14 nights or more and both the guest service fee and host commission drop from 10% to 5%, while the Safety & Care Fee falls from $6 to $3 a night.

  • Meet before you commit

The longer the stay, the more a meet-and-greet matters. Arrange it in the chat and see how the home feels in person.

  • Keep payment and contact inside PetShare

Stripe handles card entry, so never pay a host into another bank account or hand over cash up front — the chat history protects you if something goes wrong.

Frequently asked questions

Using Australian Vets & Pet Registration FAQ

호주 수의사(Vet) 이용 및 반려동물 등록 FAQ

Microchip and council registration

Most Australian states require a microchip and an active registration. Keep your pet on the state or council register and record that number in the PetShare pet profile and on the certificate you upload.

Vaccination programs (C3/C5/C7, F3/F4)

Dogs use C3, C5 or C7 and cats F3 or F4, where the number counts the diseases covered. Most boosters are yearly, so keep overseas records with their dates and upload them as your certificate.

Rabies is not a routine shot here

Australia is rabies-free, so routine local dog and cat programs do not include a rabies shot. If your pet was vaccinated overseas, bring the certificate.

Bringing a pet from Korea

Importing a pet into Australia needs separate approval and quarantine. Check the official government requirements and costs before you book flights — PetShare does not arrange imports.

Emergency vets

Use PetShare's emergency vet directory for 24/7 and after-hours hospitals, and always phone before travelling. Call 000 when a person is in danger — 000 is not a veterinary service.

Veterinary costs

Consultation and test fees vary widely between clinics, so ask for a written estimate before treatment. Eligible emergency treatment is covered up to $1,500 after a $100 deductible.

Frequently asked questions

Earn Extra Income as a Korean Host in Australia

호주 한인 호스트 신청 안내

1Step 1 · Screening survey

Describe your home, household, the animals you already have, your care experience and the dates you can host. This is the first qualification check.

2Step 2 · Quality Pledge

Agree to the rules you must follow: leash and safety control, vaccination checks, vet consent, declaring aggression history, and 100% indoor care whenever you accept cats. Your listing cannot be published until the pledge is saved.

3Step 3 · Build your profile

Add photos, your description, house rules and an availability calendar, then tick Korean under spoken languages. Registered Korean hosts show up in Korean-host searches and carry the badge.

4Identity verification (ID Check)

Upload a photo ID and enter your legal name (your public display name can stay different). Proof of address is optional, and a PetShare admin review is required before your listing goes public.

5Set up payouts

Add your Australian bank details. Only the last four digits are stored for security, and transfers are not automatic — they follow a PetShare confirmation step.

6Optional · Premium Host

Premium Host is $19 a month or $190 a year (2 months free) and cuts your host commission to 3%. You can still publish a listing and take bookings on a free account.

Earnings depend on pet size and nights. Stays of 14 nights or more drop host commission to 5%, which favours long-term bookings.

Your listing goes public only after the Quality Pledge and identity review are complete. The pledge covers safety rules and indoor cat care.
