Trust & safety

Care built on clear expectations.

PetShare brings owners and hosts together with identity signals, secure payment, shared care information and practical support.

How PetShare supports safer stays

Identity signals

Profiles can show verification status and useful trust details. A badge supports informed decisions but never replaces a meet-and-greet.

Private information

Private account, pet and conversation information is protected by access rules so it is limited to the people involved.

Secure Stripe payments

Card details are entered in Stripe's secure payment form. PetShare does not receive or store full card numbers.

Care planning

Pet profiles keep routines, health notes, vaccination details and emergency contacts together for the people caring for them.

Protection and coverage

Do not assume every incident is automatically insured.

Any protection that may apply to a booking is subject to the booking terms, eligibility, limits, evidence requirements and exclusions in effect for that stay. PetShare does not promise blanket pet insurance on this page. Keep your own pet insurance details current and ask support before booking if coverage is important to your decision.

Ask support about a booking

Before every stay

  • Arrange a meet-and-greet in a safe setting.
  • Discuss pets, children, fencing, sleeping and supervision.
  • Share medication instructions, vet contacts and behavioural triggers.
  • Keep messages and payment inside PetShare.
  • Make sure emergency contact details remain reachable.

Community guidelines

Respectful communication and honest care information protect pets, owners and hosts.

Be honest

Represent your pet, home, availability and experience accurately. Raise concerns before confirming.

Put welfare first

Follow agreed routines, use humane care and never leave a pet in unsafe conditions.

Act on emergencies

Contact a veterinarian first for urgent health concerns, then update the owner and PetShare.
